हर डेयरी किसान का साथीA smart friend for every dairy farmer

From Mukti — a smallholder farmer in Sonapur — booking AI for her cow Junaki at 5 AM, to a district-wide outbreak alert reaching every farmer within ten kilometres in seconds. PashuMitra connects every person who keeps Indian dairy moving.

Speaks the farmer's own language. Built for our buffaloes and cows, not imported breeds.

एक सुबह की कहानी · 90 seconds

A morning in dairy

Five people on the same chain. One cow. Here's the day.

  1. 04:32

    Cycle calendar

Overnight, PashuMitra reaches Junaki's heat-watch window — day 20 of her cycle, counted from her last calving. Mukti's Jersey-cross cow in Sonapur is flagged for a morning check.
  2. 04:47

    Sakha → Mukti (farmer)

At dawn, Sakha calls Mukti by voice: is Junaki restless, off her feed? Mukti says yes — and a WhatsApp confirms it in Hindi:“जुनाकी गर्म हो रही हैं। AI 4 बजे तक करें।”Mukti taps “AI Book करो.”
  3. 05:23

    Dipankar (MAITRI / AI worker)

The AI worker opens his queue. Junaki appears at the top with bull recommendations matched to her Jersey-cross genetics. He plans his route around her.
  4. 08:00

    At the shed

Dipankar inseminates. Marks “AI done.” The cooperative's milk-procurement record updates with Junaki. So does Mukti's app.
  5. 17:00

    Anita ji (Belsor cooperative)

    Sees Mukti's 42.5 L logged. Approves the day's payment. Junaki's pregnancy-diagnosis reminder is auto-scheduled for 45 days from now.

The same chain catches an LSD outbreak, schedules a vaccination drive, or files an NADCP report — depending on whose hand is on the phone.

What's broken today

India produces the world's most milk.
Our farmers still operate in the dark.

Five apps. Three notebooks. Zero connection.

सब अलग-अलग, कुछ भी मिलकर काम नहीं करता

Government records on one screen, milk collection on another, WhatsApp messages on a third, vet visits on paper. Nothing talks to anything else — and the cow that needed attention yesterday is the one we hear about tomorrow.

By the time you notice, it's already too late.

पता चलते-चलते बहुत देर हो जाती है

Half of all heat cycles are missed — each costing ₹4,000 in lost milk and another month of waiting. Mastitis gets diagnosed only after yield drops 30%. Disease outbreaks travel days before anyone hears about them.

Built for big dairies, not small farmers.

छोटे किसानों के लिए कुछ नहीं

The good software costs more than a small farmer earns in a month. The government software runs only on a desktop nobody has. And both are written in English, for Holstein-Friesian cows that don't live in India.

What makes us different

Where we differ from Stellapps, Connecterra, and the rest of the category.

An assistant that knows your cow

Ask any question about your animals — by voice, in your own language. PashuMitra answers from each cow's actual history, not generic advice from a textbook.

If you can talk, you can use it

Say "सात लीटर सुबह" and the milk yield is recorded. Every action you do on the screen, you can also do with your voice — the way most farmers prefer.

Free for the farmer

The cooperative pays a small per-cow fee. The farmer pays nothing. That's how we reach the 80 million smallholder dairy households today's software can't afford to serve.

Reads INAPH ear tags. Aligned with NDLM.

Speaks the language of INAPH and Bharat Pashudhan. Tracks RGM, NADCP, and AHIDF scheme delivery. Helps your district hit its targets — without a single extra form to fill.

How a cooperative comes online

Digitized in days — from the paper register you already keep.

Of India's roughly 1.7 lakh village dairy cooperatives, only about 26,000 have even basic milk-collection software — and almost none have a digital herd register. A cow's whole history — her calving dates, her inseminations, her ear tag — lives in a paper notebook. So that's where we start.

  1. 1

    A surveyor visits

A PashuMitra field surveyor spends a few days at the cooperative, photographing the paper herd register and each cow — front, side, udder.

  2. 2

    OCR builds the herd

Our AI reads every row — ear tag, breed, last calving, insemination history — and turns the notebook into a digital profile for each cow. No data entry, no forms to fill.

  3. 3

    Every loop switches on

With real cow records, heat prediction, the health passport, and milk-payment reconciliation all light up at once. No hardware. No ₹10,000 collar. No farmer asked to change a thing first.

What you actually get

Live in the product. Not on a roadmap.

Every feature below is live in the demo you can walk right now — not a roadmap promise.

A voice assistant that actually knows your animals

Tap the microphone and ask "जुनाकी कब गाभ आएगी?" — PashuMitra reads her last insemination date, calculates her cycle, and answers back in Hindi, out loud. Vets get help shortlisting diagnoses. Officers get help summarizing an outbreak. Same friend, different conversations.

HEAT TO INSEMINATION IN 90 SECONDS

Quantify the milk you lose to each missed heat — by cow, by week.

On a cow's heat-watch day, Sakha asks the farmer — by voice, in her own language — whether the cow is showing signs. A 'yes' lights up her phone in Hindi; one tap books the artificial insemination. The MAITRI worker's queue updates instantly, breed-matched bull suggestions ready. Ninety seconds from the farmer's word to dispatch — and a missed cycle that would have cost ₹4,000 in lost milk becomes a confirmed pregnancy.

EARLY OUTBREAK WARNING

Stop a disease outbreak before it spreads to the next village

When a vet flags Lumpy Skin Disease or FMD, PashuMitra automatically finds every farmer within the danger radius and sends them a Hindi advisory — within seconds. Looking back at the 2022 Rajasthan outbreak, this approach would have saved an estimated 29,000 cattle by reaching farmers seven to ten days earlier than the official notification.

Ten hours of monthly paperwork, gone.

The District Animal Husbandry Officer taps “Generate NADCP report.” A few minutes later, a polished PDF appears: village-by-village vaccination coverage, the gaps flagged in plain language, the next actions recommended. Same applies for the cooperative's milk procurement summary and any outbreak narrative — every dashboard becomes a one-tap report.

BUILT FOR INDIAN CATTLE

Calibrated for our buffaloes, not someone else's Holstein

Every prediction is tuned for the animals that actually live in India — Murrah buffalo, Sahiwal, Gir, Lakhimi, Jersey-cross. Other platforms assume a Holstein-Friesian crossbred that doesn't fit half our country. We even handle silent oestrus in buffaloes — the heat nobody else catches — not with a sensor, but by predicting the window from her cycle and asking the farmer the right questions on the right day.

The team behind PashuMitra

A project of N8E Labs. Built in Guwahati, by people who chose to start here.

N8E Labs is a technology company building products in North East India, for the region and the nation. Founded in 2025 by Julius Longjam and Partha Das, the company has rapidly developed deep expertise in EdTech and AgriTech. PashuMitra an innovative livestock solution, serves as the company's flagship product. Demonstrating a strong commitment to local innovation, half of the N8E Labs team chose to return from abroad to build this venture.

Our origin: India produces more milk than any country on earth, at a third of the per-cow yield EU farmers get. Even a 20% lift would change the income of 8 crore households. And thus, we set on, to make this happen.

Where we are today

For investors

India produces 24% of the world's milk — at a third of EU's per-cow yield.
The software to close that gap doesn't exist yet.

Market size
$135 B

India's dairy market in 2024 — growing 9% a year and projected to double by 2032.

Where we’ll be in 3 years
300,000 cows

Six to eight cooperative deployments. Roughly ₹20 crore in annual revenue at our co-op pricing.

What we’re raising
$1.5 – 3 M

Seed round to build out the field-ops team, harden the platform for pilots, and onboard the first cooperatives.

Why now

  • The rails are already built: Bharat Pashudhan / NDLM has ear-tagged 35.9 crore animals and is replacing the legacy INAPH system — and from April 2026, vet services in several states require an NDLM tag, making cooperative-level animal records suddenly urgent. The platform is designed for private integration; the first products built to ride it get a generational head start.
  • The 2022 Lumpy Skin Disease outbreak — 97,000 cattle lost — has created political will for real-time disease surveillance at the district level.
  • The category leader, Stellapps, serves state federations and large dairies — the top of the pyramid. Below them sit roughly 1.7 lakh village cooperatives with no dedicated herd software at all, still on paper and WhatsApp — and White Revolution 2.0 is spinning up another 1.03 lakh. That underserved base is our market.
  • Voice AI for Indian languages has crossed into viability — the government's own Bharat-VISTAAR now advises farmers by voice, no smartphone needed. Vernacular-first software for non-literate farmers is finally buildable at smallholder price points, not enterprise ones.

How we get to scale

  • Year 1: Our first cooperative partner, ~10,000 cows, ~₹65 lakh of annual recurring revenue.
  • Year 2: Six to eight cooperatives, 50,000 cows, ₹3 crore in revenue, healthy gross margins.
  • Year 3: 300,000 cows and ~₹20 crore in revenue. Insurance referrals and a cattle marketplace open as additional revenue lines.
  • Series A: $8–15 M at multiples consistent with Indian agritech leaders.

Let's bring PashuMitra to your farmers.
